What is a Security Password?

Security Password is a password configured when you firstly download and setup the SafePal App. It is a set of at least 8 alphanum(letters and numbers). The Security Password is used to approve transactions, authorize DeFi logins, and control other security features such as Touch ID login or pattern login. It is the most important password when you use the SafePal App.

What if I forget my Security Password?

Since SafePal doesn't store or access your security information such as the mnemonic phrase or the passwords, we are not able to help recovering your account once you forget the Security Password. If you have forgotten the Security Password on the SafePal App, please follow this instructions to reset it by yourself:

1. Make sure you have backed-up your seed phrase

2. Delete, and re-install the SafePal App

3. Recover your wallet in the SafePal App using the correct seed phrase. During the wallet recovery, you are able to set a new wallet password.

If you see a different wallet after the wallet recovery, it's possible that you've made a wrong wallet recovery. Read the following article for further instructions:
