6.Custom collation of the currencies

Custom collation of the currencies is an advanced feature of SafePal. Users can adjust the currency order by simply pressing and dragging the currency in the “Coin management”

7.‘Delete token’feature

Users can click the “Delete”icon in the upper right corner of the “Coin management” interface and choose to delete unwanted currencies.

Features of SafePal S1 wallet


  • Scan: To pair with the SafePal App, or sign transactions.

  • Asset Management: To view the existing tokens in your App. (Please be noted that S1 wallet will not sync automatically from the App. If users add/delete token in the App, the S1 wallet will have to sign a transaction of this added/deleted token to update the list of an asset in it.)

  • Settings: To customized settings, including sleep time, auto-off setting, language, PIN changing, resetting wallet, firmware upgrade, etc.

2.Why is SafePal S1 more secure?

There is no bluetooth, wifi, NFC, USB or any other radiofrequencies on SafePal wallet. SafePal S1 only interacts with SafePal App via encrypted QRcode.

S1 is embedded with independent EAL5+ crypto element, keeping the top security of your private key.

(3)Anti-tampering Mechanism

Inside S1 there is embedded with self-destroy and data-erasing mechanisms. Once there is any software or physical attack detected by multiple sensors, the wallet will initiate self-defence mechanism, the self-destruction mechanism will erase the private key and all wallet data, keeping the hacker from getting sensitive data, keeping your asset from wrong hands.

After the data is destroyed, you can recover the wallet on another SafePal wallet with the correct mnemonic phrase.

The Working mechanism between the App and the device

In most cases, you might find the SafePal App convenient enough in many scenarios, such as receiving money, checking balance, add/delete tokens, view transaction history, etc. And you will be surprised that you don't need to use a SafePal S1 hardware wallet at all in some cases.

This part is to explain the most frequently asked questions about the working mechanism between a SafePal S1 device and a SafePal App.

Question 1: In which cases do I need to use a S1 hardware wallet?

The SafePal S1 device is responsible for 3 'jobs':

  1. Creating a unique private key with the embedded true random number generator(when you need to create a new wallet)

  2. Keeping 100% security of your private key

  3. Approve and sign every 'sending out' transactions

Thus, only when you need to create a new wallet or verify and sign a transaction will you need to use a SafePal S1 wallet.

Question 2: How exactly do I "sign" a transaction with a S1 wallet?

In a nutshell, S1 wallet interacts with the App via encrypted QRcode. By scanning the encrypted QRcode on the App, the S1 wallet can read all transaction details and then sign it with a unique PIN code(set by the user).

Questions 3: Why encrypted QRcode rather than other methods such as USB, Bluetooth, NFC or WiFi?

Among all the technologies mentioned in the title, the QRcode is considered the most secure communication mechanism for several reasons:

  1. Image transmission between the device and the App could operate normally without the existence of any internet or radio frequencies. Thus it can keep the device 100% offline and secure from any online attack.

  2. Scanning with a QRcode means the device needs to be very close to your cellphone whenever you need to sign and send money. This will make short-distance radio frequency attack much more difficult.

  3. The action of scanning a QRcode is intuitive for most smartphone users, without too much effort to learn and acquire.

Why would this note pop up after I copy an address and open the app?

This is a creative feature to smooth user experience when users try to transfer money to others conveniently.

When a user copies an address from outside the SafePal App, and then opens the SafePal App, the App will detect the copy address and guide you through the transfer directly. With this feature users don’t need to copy and paste long address anymore, lowering the possibilities of making errors when entering the address.
